On August 8, 2022, Pulan County, Ali Prefecture reported 2 new asymptomatic cases of novel coronavirus infection. All the cases had travel overlap or close contact with the positive infected person on the previous day.

As of 10:00 on August 9, 125523 nucleic acid samples had been collected in the whole region. Except for 6 asymptomatic novel coronavirus infected patients who were positive, the other test results were negative.

On August 8, 2022, according to the announcement on Tiantian Ali official account, on August 7, during normal nucleic acid testing in Pulan County, Ali Prefecture, four non-native people ( from Xigaze Prefecture ) were found to be positive for novel coronavirus nucleic acid testing.

Subsequently, the major scenic spots in Ali area were closed, such as Kailash and Manasaovar lake scenic spots.
