Kailash Tour from Kathmandu

A Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar trip, starting in Kathmandu and ending back in the city, is a popular choice for many travelers. Tours departing from Kathmandu are shorter but offer a perfect experience. By overland, you'll cross the border, passing the majestic Mt. Shishapangma and the azure Pelkhu Tso, finally arriving at Mount Kailash. Compared to a completely overland route, choosing a helicopter makes the journey much easier. You can board a helicopter in Simikot, soaring directly over the mountains, overlooking the plateau, and quickly reaching the Nepal-China border, then crossing into Tibet to continue your journey to the sacred mountain.
